About Alex

Alex is a driven and experienced servant leader and designer based in Sterling Heights, Mi. She is a strong collaborator, always the person in any group to take charge and get the ball rolling, as well as loving to keep track of any documentation or organization. She has been working to improve her skills at delegating and coaching others while in her current role as a Scrum Master at United Wholesale Mortgage in Pontiac, Mi. She started in a production based design role with a Digital Twin company in Brighton, Mi, and has spent several years exploring servant leadership in both her current role and her previous role as a teacher and after school program director for Summers-Knoll School in Ann Arbor, Mi.

Alex is proud to be part of the chair committee of the UWM Agile Community of Practice, a position she has held since 2023. She has organized and facilitated events for upwards of 150 people, and supports 3-4 teams at all times as part of her daily responsibilities. She prides herself on the experiments she runs with her teams, questioning why things are the way they are and improving processes all the time.

In her free time, Alex loves to 3D Model and 3D Print jewelry and every day items like containers and decor. She plays guitar and piano and has sung professionally for two churches, and she has a Himalayan cat named Nebula.
